Michael Liimatta is Chief Academic Officer for City Vision College and works as a consultant to nonprofit organizations. An energetic and visionary leader, he has served in the nonprofit sector, in higher education and in association management for over 30 years. Michael has core competence in the areas of strategic planning, program development, professional training, fundraising and web development & marketing. He has contributed pioneering work to Internet-based distance learning and in working with organizations that help the homeless and chemically dependent.
Michael is President and co-founder of Connecting for Good, a local nonprofit organization that is bridging the Digital Divide in Kansas City by assisting low income residents with affordable connectivity, refurbished PCs & digital literacy training. He also serves as board president of Footprints, Inc., an inner city addiction counseling center with a shelter for homeless veterans
